Sharon Kaplan MSW, CRTS and Gail Whitman, Owners

Professional Background

Sharon and Gail, who have each worked with families for more than 30 years in medical and educational settings, bring complementary skills and talents to the profession of Senior Move Management. Sharon has a Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from the University of Michigan and has completed training as a Certified Relocation and Training Specialist (CRTS). She is a skilled listener and communicator with sensitivity to the uniqueness of each client and situation. Gail has a Master’s Degree from Minot State University. For the majority of her career, Gail has been an Administrator in public education. Her strengths in management, organization, attention to detail and accountability ensure well planned and coordinated moves. Both Sharon and Gail work respectfully and patiently with senior clients, cooperatively with families and effectively with all service providers.

Personal Background

We have been friends and colleagues for more than 20 years. Prior to beginning A Move Handled With Care, LLC, we helped our own parents with moves to smaller homes, assisted living and Alzheimer's care. As adult children, we understand the decision making, conflicting emotions and time commitment involved in a move and the added complexities when a parent lives out-of-state. We are both married with grown children and one precious grandchild. There is no other job we would rather be doing at this stage of our lives. We have the passion, desire and optimistic attitude to guide you successfully through your move.

Sharon Kaplan is a Certified Transition and Relocation Specialist (CRTS). A senior move manager with CRTS designation has had advanced training and agrees to promote professional standards within the senior move industry and follow the CRTS code of conduct and ethics including professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.

Insurance: A Move Handled With Care, LLC carries appropriate business and liability insurance and has a Certificate of Insurance on file.

Bonding: Employees of A Move Handled With Care, LLC are bonded and the Company complies with local and state laws governing employees and worker’s compensation.

Background Check: Sharon Kaplan and Gail Whitman have successfully completed a Colorado statewide criminal background check.
